This 1" x 0.7" antique silver lapel pin is painted scarlet, gold, and white and is shaped like the insignia of the 2nd Marine Division, stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The patch centers on a hand holding a torch, with a red "2" in the center, and is surrounded by the stars of the Southern Cross Constellation. Though this insignia was disallowed as a shoulder patch in 1947, it still retains the spearhead shape and general color scheme of the 2nd Marine Division.
